A New Home

Swansea. Could there be a better place to go to university; whether at Singleton Campus with the park, or the Bay Campus with the beach, or at the UWTSD in the heart of the city? What a setting for any university! The friendly City of Swansea is within walking distance to the east and the beautiful Gower peninsula a bus-ride away to the west. All the amenities of a modern city are here with breath-taking beaches nearby and the Welsh mountains a few miles inland.

A New Life

Getting here felt like climbing a mountain but now it’s all come together and a new era in your life has started. A new adventure has begun with new possibilities, new challenges and new opportunities. Away from family and school mates you will quickly make new friends especially among other students such as yourself in the Christian Union and among the family of God in a church.

A New Church

For those with an interest in the Christian faith, a new church will be an important consideration. There is no substitute for finding a community of God’s people with whom to worship and to develop under the ministry and fellowship found in a Bible-believing, gospel church. There are many opportunities for getting involved in church life here at Ebenezer.

Many of us at Ebenezer Baptist Church were once students ourselves and know what it means to leave home and embark on a course of study in a new place. Several students have made their spiritual home among us in the recent past and we enjoy running a student hospitality scheme which ensures a home-cooked meal with a believing family from the fellowship on Sunday.

Finally, we sincerely hope you enjoy your time in Swansea, discover what God has in store for your future, and that you will prove more and more the nearness of God and his grace in your life.
